Advising Communities is the legal advice, support and education charity for individuals in need and the essential organisations that support them in their communities. The charity (formerly known as Blackfriars Advice Centre) approached Effusion to create their visual identity and oversee its implementation across a range of printed materials and their website.
After a consultation process and the brainstorming a number of different concepts, we proposed the two chairs mark. The chair symbolise two parties coming together, with the subtle inward turn of the right hand chair representing the listening ear of Advising Communities. We felt this captured the essence of the Advising Communities service and approach.
We developed a bold a colour palette and a friendly typographic treatment which emphasised approachable tone of the organisation. We designed a suite of icons within the same visual language which were used across their various print and digital channels.
We created a brand guidelines document for Advising Communities and designed a range of printed collateral and reports. We also designed and built their website.
